Test Engineer

European Energy Exchange - EEX Prague Branch is seeking a full-time Test Engineer in Prague, Czechia. There is one position available, with a salary starting at CZK 100,000 per month. You will collaborate with developers and analysts to understand new product features and define meaningful test scenarios. Responsibilities include designing and executing manual and automated functional test cases, developing new test cases and automating existing ones, and ensuring compliance with product testing standards. You will participate in code reviews with a focus on testability, ensure test coverage aligns with critical workflows and business scenarios, and perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and usability issues. You will also clearly document test results, contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices, and participate in agile ceremonies and team discussions with a quality-focused mindset. Your profile should include a strong understanding of software testing principles and agile methodologies, a passion for software quality, accountability, and continuous learning. You should be able to write or understand tests written in Java or Kotlin and have experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as JUnit, Cucumber, and Kotlin.test. The role also requires the ability to analyse complex systems and identify potential risks or gaps, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and knowledge of English. Knowledge of tools such as GitHub, Docker, Jenkins, Grafana, and Kibana is an advantage, as is familiarity with event streaming and messaging systems such as Apache Kafka and RabbitMQ. Experience with build tools such as Gradle and Maven is also an advantage.
