Localization Engineer

Thermo Fisher Scientific Brno s.r.o. has one full-time Localization Engineer vacancy in Brno, South Moravia, Czechia. The salary starts at CZK 75,000 per month. Initial contact should be by email. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree, ideally in translation studies, linguistics, programming, computer science or a related field; previous localization engineering experience; and work experience providing the knowledge, skills and abilities needed for the role, equivalent to approximately five years of experience. Experience working with file formats and tools such as JSON, RESX, VTT, HTML, XML (including different XML types from different systems), MadCap Flare, DITA, Articulate, MP4 and Captivate is welcome. Experience with CAT/TMS tools such as Wordbee, SDL Trados Studio, memoQ, Memsource/Phrase and XTM, as well as troubleshooting throughout the lifecycle of localization and translation projects, is also welcome. Experience with content management systems (CMS), such as Tridion or ST4, is an advantage. The employer agrees to employment under the Blue Card scheme. Accommodation is not provided.
