Credit Controller

Carrier Refrigeration Operation Czech Republic s.r.o. is recruiting a Credit Controller in Prague, Czechia. This full-time, single-shift position offers CZK 55,000–70,000 per month. There is one vacancy, listed for an Employee Card, and accommodation is not provided. You will perform advanced analysis of customers’ financial statements to assess creditworthiness and financial stability, assess and approve new customer credit risks requiring higher-level approval or additional scrutiny, and set, approve and adjust credit limits within higher delegated authority. Responsibilities include evaluating non-standard commercial terms for credit risk and compliance, managing credit risk for complex, high-value or higher-risk customer accounts, and making credit decisions beyond standard Credit Operations authority. You will review orders blocked due to overdue payments or exceeded credit limits and approve or reject credit release based on detailed risk analysis and internal policies. You will monitor customer exposure, payment behaviour and early risk indicators across complex portfolios, and initiate risk mitigation measures for deteriorating accounts, including reducing limits, tightening terms or deactivating accounts. All credit decisions, risk assessments and approvals must be documented and audit-ready in accordance with SOX requirements. You will conduct and approve annual credit reviews for higher-risk customers, act as an escalation point for complex cases from Credit Operations, and contribute to process simplification, standardisation and automation. The role also supports the development of reporting, controls and monitoring tools to improve visibility of credit exposure and risk, alongside special projects such as automation and process transitions.
