Does PESEL prove that someone can work?
No. A PESEL number is not, by itself, evidence of a residence category or employment authorisation. Where protection-related rules apply, verify current status and the applicable employment procedure.

Can graduates of Polish universities work without a permit?
Qualifying graduates can have an exemption, but must maintain lawful residence that permits employment. Use the current November 2025 exemption rules rather than assuming every older university summary is up to date.

Can university students work without a permit?
Qualifying students can be exempt, subject to current conditions concerning studies, the institution and lawful residence. Do not treat every language course, part-time course or university admission as equivalent.

Can a Czech citizen accept a Polish job?
A Czech citizen benefits from EU free movement and does not need a Polish work permit. The employer still needs normal employment, payroll and insurance arrangements, and regulated work can require recognition.
